Personalized Nutritional Counseling

Our Personalized Nutrition Counseling services are rooted in a functional and integrative perspective. We are focused on understanding the primary drivers of dysfunction and seek resolution at the most fundamental level.

Our intake process begins with a 90-minute initial evaluation, followed by a 60-minute comprehensive planning session two to four weeks later.

The 90-minute initial appointment is a comprehensive information-gathering session combined with education and first steps planning. Dr. Hall listens and guides you through telling your story. This includes a health/life review, current concerns, and goals. A detailed inventory of current dietary practices, stress/mood management strategies, sleep/wake cycles, movement history and current practices, relationships (family, friends, virtual), spiritual practices, nature connection, hobbies, and interests is taken.

At the end of this appointment, any relevant functional lab test will be ordered to further elucidate possible hidden contributory factors such as nutritional deficiencies, disruption of the gut microbiome, environmental toxicity, metabolic function, etc.

Simple first steps will be collaboratively established. These can be, but are not limited to, dietary suggestions, supplementation, amino acid therapy, building a stress management grab bag, starting a physical movement practice, etc.

In the 60-minute comprehensive planning session, Dr. Hall will provide education on using food as medicine, supplementation, stress management, environmental exposures, the gut/brain connection, circadian rhythm, physical movement practices, spiritual practices, etc. that prove relevant to your unique circumstances.

The takeaway from this appointment will be a high-level overview of options for a path forward with more firm and comprehensive targets and practices to work towards beyond the first steps.

Somatic Coaching

Somatic Coaching sessions orient from the perspective that the bodymind matrix holds within it the greatest potential for our healing.

Our coaching approach is dynamic and revolves around processing things as they arise in the present moment. This is done through an integrative application of many effective research-based, trauma-informed psychotherapeutic modalities. Our approach is informed by parts work inspired by Internal Family System and Gestalt Therapy, process work inspired by Eugene Gendlin, and applicable insights from worldwide spiritual traditions.

These dynamic approaches invite us back to our present-moment embodied experience. The results of this practice are often the spontaneous arising of innate qualities that allow us to:

  • Reduce our resistance

  • Grow our capacity to be with life as it is

  • Listen to the wisdom of the body-mind matrix

  • Heal trauma for good

  • Realize our potential.

Coaching sessions are 60 mins. and most often part of a longer commitment.
